I absolutely love the colors and contrast....this could be a very effective commercial ad for strawberries....focus is great and the berries look wonderful! Good luck!

Excellent composition and color contrast. Please provide detail on how you light to achieve this look. I love the almost invisible cup, and the shadows that define it's edge. 10 - LanSnake.

Beautiful! Looks like they are spilling right off the photo. Good enough to eat! Nice work!

I love the way the cup vanishes into the white space.
09/14/2002 09:53:00 AM
Very good use of space and colors

I love how the bowl fades out into the background 9 -Agamemnon

great red color!

Very interesting lighting, the way the cub is almost not there. I like the way you managed to keep the detail and the texture on the strawberries while whiting out the background. Well framed too, drawing your attention all the across the frame. Good job, 8, chrisab.

Great colors and I really like how part of the cup is visible, but you can't really see it. It is just hinted at, so to speak. karmat

Very nice how you lit this so that the cup is merely a suggestion - without the cup this would have been much less effective, I think. Very creative!

Wow, beautifully done and you have challenged me. I don't know what to say really, I love the all white background and cup that seems to be nothing but shadows. My top 5 - 9

Those strawberries look good, but the tops suggest to me that they aren't very fresh as the greens are wilted and brown. Maybe selecting the "prettier" greens and have those ones face the camera. Otherwise looks alright 6-BigSmiles

Love the idea but for me the cup disappears too well into the background and therefore it's hard to even realise it's there. Since it's presence is what explains the layout of the fruit I think it needs to be a little more obvious, not like smack me in the head obvious but just a little more defined. That's just my opinion though and others will probably say that it's the subtleness of the cup that makes this shot for them!

Great shot. I keep looking for, and wanting to see the bowl. I don't know if you tried a few shots like that, I'd love to see them. The color is great. Good Luck, Gotcha 8

I really like how the cup disappears. The bold colors are very nice. Good focus. Lighting seems a bit harsh on the berries, but I guess that might be necessary for getting this high-key effect. 9 ~indigo997

sweet berries! i love the way they spill out of the almost implied cup. great shot. would love to see one more berry (or even half a berry) on the left to continue the movement in this shot. (9) ~mcmurma

Super shot. The strawberries almost look like I could reach out and grab them. I like what you did with the background as well. Be sure and let us know how you did this one.
09/10/2002 07:50:00 AM
wow, i love this. and not just because i REALLY like strawberries. you captured theirr color very well, there's only a little reflection which adds a spark to the photo and i love how the cup paritally melts into the background. my top 5 this week. -- gr8photos (10).

The way the cup seems to disappear in the background really caught my eye. Makes it seem like a painting rather than a photo. 9. Lnede

simple and delightful............good detail..............I like the way the cup "disappears"
09/09/2002 06:59:00 PM
I liked the composition, specially the detail of the strawberrie's leaf outside the cup, also the super white background it looks bright and neat, good luck! 9
09/09/2002 05:32:00 PM
Very nice contrast.
09/09/2002 01:14:00 PM
too bright, too empty
09/09/2002 11:58:00 AM
I really like this picture, but one thing is bothering me.... something about not seein the cup is "distracting". I hope you understand what I mean.
09/09/2002 11:29:00 AM
Looks Fake. Great job on that (I do mean that in a good way)
09/09/2002 10:33:00 AM
