I was lucky to get this shot on the third lime wedge. The "Burst 3" mode of the camera really helps. Then, I used the leftovers to make a nice lime chicken with spanish rice.

ewe fingers

The idea here is great. The photo is oversharpened? or something. The color on the fingers is off, and the focus on the lime needs to be sharper.

This is a one of my favorite shots this week but I wonder if it would be better with a different color background. The orange seemstoo stark.
09/15/2002 02:39:00 PM
Well executed.

Great picture, this is one of the best this week. I love the contrast between the lime and the orange background
09/14/2002 08:57:00 PM
Wonderful detail -- I'll bet we could identify this person though the fingerprints shown here! How many limes did you go through before you got a shot you liked? I'll bet somebody had some mighty sticky hands when all was said and done! Very nice shot -9

nice freeze frame. gotta buff out the dead skin on those fingers :-)
09/14/2002 11:57:00 AM
good stop action!

Good use of colors and imagination.

Very nice photo! I can imagine this being very hard to capture! I like your choice of background colour, the orange and green go together very well, and it isn't as boring as if you'd have used black or green. Unfortunatly the photo quality is quite grainy, and that looks like a compression problem, but the actualy capture is excellent.

I would like to see a different background. Black maby?

great picture of the squirt!

nice shot :) The background creates a nice contrast here... good work :) - jmsetzler

Excellent shot - you've really captured the mouth-puckering tartness of this juicy lime! Great choice of background color, too. I wonder how many shots you took / limes you cut and squeezed before you got this one?
09/13/2002 11:38:00 AM
arresting, but the colour of the fingers seems a bit odd...
09/13/2002 11:19:00 AM
love the movement in this shot and the way the lime contrasts against the orange background. Great choice of colors. (7) ~mcmurma

Love it! Sharp too! One unique idea! 9-BigSmiles

The choice of background colour to sit behind the pink skin and green lime makes this shot for me. Like the composition very much.

Absolutely brilliant concept (10+). I like action shots a lot!! Technically, however, it seems to ahve been sharpened quite a bit, so I am guessing the original had soft focus. Overall 7.

nice action and good choice of background color

Nice stop action, how many trys did it take to get this picture? Good choice of background color. One of my top ten picks this week.

The 6 is because I think you have a great advertisementshot but I wouldn't want to hang it in my living room. Maybe it is short term interest for me.

Great shot! I love the orange background. Great use of shutter speed. Good composition too. I'm not sure if it is intentional, but it seems to be grainy and at the same time over sharpened/contrasted - also can't decide if I like that or not--something about the way the fingers look...ant the overly green edge of the lime. But I still like this much. Great work and idea. 9

Superior work...this style looks oddly familiar..like somebody I always give high marks too :-) Anyway..well executed..nice choice of background. Almost perfect. I treated this as an ad/poster shot and as such I would have wanted the skin of the hand to be a bit less dry looking..I know..I know..we aren't models and it just missed getting you a 10. I see lots (meaning 100's) of shots like this in stock photo samples in my advertising work so I am a bit jaded and most of them use wonderful manicured female hands to push the sex appeal..still great shot 9..hokie

Cracking good shot. I can't suggest improvement. The shot has great artistic merit, exposure and composition is spot on and the stop motion is faultless. Great idea, well executed. Good luck (10)

I thought a twist of lime was something else... this looks like a pinch of lime! :D - 7
09/10/2002 10:52:00 PM
the redness of the finger clashes with the other colors, but this is a well done photo
09/10/2002 08:19:00 PM
nice colors ... kinda reminds me of an andy warhal (sp?) piece .. with the colors and saturation ... good job!!!! ayme-9
09/10/2002 07:51:00 PM
nice composition..good action but a tad oversharp.

I am SO jealous!! I tried and tried to get this same shot, and it never worked out. This is great! Not crazy about the orange background though. lhall-7

Very interesting (in a positive way) use of background color. It really complements the fruit.

great use of stop motion!

Very nice. Focus is outstanding. Lighting looks really good. Subject matter is excellent. 9
09/09/2002 04:45:00 PM
I'd love to know how many lime wedges it took before you were happy, and whether you crushed the victims with ice and midori :-)
09/09/2002 03:49:00 PM
Really nice. The focus is super! Love the juice, both the stopped motion parts and the spray, lots of fun! 10 Swash
09/09/2002 02:48:00 PM
I really like this shot. the orange background is super and contrasts nicely with the lime green. also, you did well with the skin tones, something i still have not mastered. Great work. karmat

And now it's all over my keyboard !!! Great shot. Why did you choose orange as for BG ? The detail on the fingers is slightly distracting. So imagine the same shot with a black background and white silk gloves. But the idea is there so 7.
09/09/2002 12:17:00 PM
very good shot
09/09/2002 01:36:00 AM
