Pretty!....and Practicalby senor_kasperComment: My gosh I have nearly the same glases and I ALWAYS have pencils, pens, and paintbrushes poking out from my mop. And not so terribly long ago, the stethescope as well... |

Fly-byby zardozComment: I cannot wait to see this cropped! Fantastic catch, great light. And no dust bunnies - wich at the aperature you must have shot at to catch this and stay in focus is a marvel in and of itself. I fought the battle of the sensor dust for THREE HOURS and still failed to get it clean this challenge and appreciate a clean shot! Good job! |

Baby Aphidby Pug-HComment: Your control of the DOF here is a marvel. What an absolute pain in the rear this must have been trying to get the right area to show clear and probably quickly with what appears to be a live insect. Nice work. |

The General's Speechby GiorgioComment: Maybe you could have filtered the flash just a tad knowing it was minimal editing, but I think it could be easily remedied with editing after challenge. I would have over-exposed this myself during a regular rule set to capture detail and toned it down in RAW later on myself, so I see the merits of this exposure. A really good shot. Original and nicely composed. |

Ready to Soarby aimeethetooComment: Crystal sharp in what appears to be slightly overcast light in the green house. Nice capture, love how the bokeh with the orange flowers to the left brings the composition together. |

Greenby SJCarterComment: Ohhhh a Luna Moth. I'm impressed you found one, I haven't been able to catch one of these since I was a kid. Can't wait to see it with the saturation bumped up afterwards. Good job. |

Cicadaby TlemetryComment: The lighting here is especially creepy and suits this nasty thing well. I'm having flashbacks of these things hitting my windshield in VA year before last. ew ew ew. |
