Just an insect flying about in my garden. I noticed they flew a regular pattern, the light was good and I was feeling lucky so I thought I'd try a catch one in a picture. It's not the greatest picture ever but I was pleased to be able to catch one of the little critters in flight. They move mighty fast for something that doesn't look like it should ever get off the ground.

This is awesome, and for something so small, the clarity and detail is just amazing, and so spot on.
I love this "flash in the pan", quick timing type of photo, as it is a bonus when one is lucky to get such a shot.....
Awesome macro here, well done, and by the way, the DOF is also pretty amazing as well.....

Great mid-air capture, especially if you really did snap this little guy in flight :)

I have been trying for years to get a shot similar to this... congratulations. There is nothing that I don't like about this photo. The positioning, although going against the third's rule, is perfect here... like Mr. Bee sat there in mid air waiting for your finger to punch the button. The background is not busy at all, and the shapes add to the shot instead of detracting in any way.

I have seen alot of shots that are close to this... but for me... you captured this wonderfully!

Great capture - bug is rather small in context, but well done anyway.

I took some shot of a hoverfly for this challenge (not that i submitted one). I loved the way they clean (wipe) their legs. Lovely sharp picture.

great shot! I just would have bumped the camera to the left a bit, shot for the rule of thirds

really amazing how clear he is against the backdrop!

I cannot wait to see this cropped! Fantastic catch, great light. And no dust bunnies - wich at the aperature you must have shot at to catch this and stay in focus is a marvel in and of itself. I fought the battle of the sensor dust for THREE HOURS and still failed to get it clean this challenge and appreciate a clean shot! Good job!
