Turning Torso - Luxury Apartmentsby GuGiComment: Ahhh Sweden (or is it Norway?) that has this amazing architectural masterpiece! This is a great picture, but without the title, would be difficult to see fitting the challenge (IMHO) |

Joys of Summerby markopellaComment: Oh the joys of watermelon! I think this picture has a lot of potential. It feels a touch snapshot-ish to me. I think if you had crouched a bit lower, to be more on the level of the kids or the watermelon would make this picture more intimate. Also, some slight tweaking in levels/curves and a tiny bump in saturation would help make the colours 'pop' a bit more |

Paradise Lostby GeneralEComment: IMHO - the selective desat in this picture doesn't really add to the picture for this challenge |

Triple Eggs Benedictby Len ScapComment: Oh yum. I love Eggs benedict!
The cream, sugar and honey pots are nice little touches.
The reflections behind the sugar pot are a bit distracting. maybe try hanging a plain sheet so the reflection is all one colour? I know how hard it can be to deal with reflections in basic ediitng.
It looks like a flash was used in this. Maybe try using a tripod, longer exposure, and no flash. You probably won't get those white reflections on the eggs this way |

Cigars and Portby _eugComment: Erm, you're model doesn't look to thrilled! I feel like her face could use a touch more light. A reflector I think would help with that. Nice port! |

The Weekend Toyby NobodyComment: This is a great capture of action, but a few things detract. First, the background is loud in colour and really detracts from the main subject. The picture seems a but flat as well. A bit of tweaking in levels/curves would bump the colours and contrast as well. There is no sense of height with this picture. If you had been able to maybe squat a little lower to give a more 'from below' angle would have added to the shot I think
This meets the challenge (IMHO) since riding bikes is an indulgence for some! |
