Wide Worldby ImagineerComment: Sheesh Jon - you keep coming up with the goods - I've seen a lot of wallaby photos (being an aussie and all) but not many as good as this one. |

Air Minimalistby ArtysteComment: Hehehehe, I don't have that lens - so the friendly competition won't extend that far...
Who cares about the challenge shoe horn - how good does the lack of shutter lag feel :)! The 4.7 is pretty clearly explicable by the fact that the only acceptable extreme sport here at dpc is motocross. I tried convincing my 8 year old foster brother to ride his bike off the roof so I could get a nice shot, but for some reason he wasn't down with that. Message edited by author 2005-05-08 23:20:44. |

Molls.jpgby MontereykiddoComment: This is clearly the best of these - terrific expression - some will be a little distracted by the blown out highlights, but I personally am not. Speaking of light, I really like the way it strikes her face here. I might suggest a bit of a close crop - particularly at the bottom - but it might not hurt to go all out and crop right in on her face.
Excellent work. |

The Songwriterby e301Comment: I had wondered where this shot had got to - this man has a remarkable face. The image is stacked full of wonderful contrasts that I personally find really engrossing. Firstly the tonalities are great - from the highlights in his hair to the darkness of the background everything is very nicely exposed. I really like the way his kind, gentle expression alleviates the harshness one might expect given the defined lines on his face.

aucklandby slonkoComment: Terrific exposure on this one - but I do have to say, I think the boats actually detract from this shot - still, its a strong entry. 7. |

Happy!by myceliumComment: Hehehehe, I was about to discard this one as just another 'shoehorned into the challenge shots' but then I caught this guys expression - You can't see that and not smile. Happyness indeed. I wish the block thing wasn't there to interfere with the composition, but this is still a solid 8. |

Hauntedby BobsterLobsterComment: This is a flat out brilliant photograph. Might not 'capture an emotion' but it couldn't be much moodier if it tried. Excellent processing and use of black and white. |
