Oregon winter refugeby jimntonicComment: In a challenge with so many up close and personal shots of birds, this is very refreshing. You photo is well balance and the composition is great. The mist adds to the photograph but the birds (by there placement) still stands out as the subject. Great nature shot while making it work in this challenge. bump. |

Amber Gazeby Nikolai1024Comment: His expression is what makes this photograph, IMO. He has the look of confusion, or don't care in his eyes. You did a good job balancing color and placing the focus on the birds eyes. One of the best close up picture in the challenge. Good job. |

Are you talkin to me?by zclareComment: Had to give this one high marks. Focus great and I like the unusual pose of the cardinal. The DOF is amazing. The only thing that I wish was not in the picture is the shadow line across the bird. But I know that was something you could not help. Great shot |
