Best Friendsby NeuferlandComment: This photograph would fair well even in an advanced editing challenge. The smooth flesh tones almost looks as if it has been edited for advanced. I guess that is what happens when you take an almost perfectly focused picture. You did a great job on lighting the subjects and the colors are great. So much detail in some areas while achieving smooth effect in others. The only thing I can pick at is the over exposure on the horses nose. Great Job bump to a 8! |

Sleep Togetherby scottswanComment: There is a lot to like about this photograph. First off it meets the challenge to a high degree imo. As far as technique, very well done you have great focus, lighting, and DOF. I like the way your focal point is on the cat. Nice shot and all looks natural. Great Job! |

Anchorby drewmediaComment: My goal for 2005 is to view as many user portfolios as possible and comment on at least one photograph that catches my attention. Well I̢۪m getting an early start.
Out of all your photos I really like this one. Clearly there are textures throughout. I would of liked to see the DOF a little closer to the top left, it may have blurred the water a little more so the reflections would not have been so bright. I love the lighting and shadows and the rust puts the icing on the cake. Well-done photograph. I know today’s voting standard is a little more critical than in 2002 but I still would of voted this a ‘Good Picture’ and on my voting scale that would have been a 6. Have a wonderful 2005-year.

a little to the left...please?by birdyblueComment: By far the best photograph in this challenge in my opinion. Great technique and I like the way you isolated the bird and human hands and didn̢۪t let the background distract from the picture. Lighting is great and I love the soft feel. Great focus and color, however I do see some noise but not enough to distract my eye. Great Shot! I think you have a ribbon here. |

Feline Kissesby toddnicholsphotographyComment: From what I can see there is motion blur on the cat and the shadows are to harsh. You did meet the challenge but your photograph lacked the quality at least from what I can see being so small. Next time use the 640 x size that way we can see more detail. Wish you the best in the challenge. |

A Bird In The Hand...by MomofjoyComment: Your photograph is way to small to judge and out of focus. As far as the composition there is no detail. Good luck in the challenge, wish you well. |

Snow?!?by jmleliiComment: The colors are so vivid and the snowflakes so random, very eye catching. I think this is classy and the best part technically you have do a wonderful job. Bump to a 9! |
