Really great! The green is great. The composition is great as well as the dof. I definately appreciate the skill, time and effort to achieve this. Excellent capture of the flame (I need to start trying that). 1 small thing - maybe a few more "trees" - but no big deal. I really enjoy this photo. Great work. 9

Imaginative. Nice work - good quality as well. I like the softness/graniness of the backgrown and the colors. Great lighting effect! I can't decide if I like it straight in the center (and yes it does meet the overly stressed rule of thirds) The use of light and shadows is great. Nice work 7

GREAT idea and photo. Should'e had it alll the way down - haha - or Just the eraser - just kidding. I like the composition and especially the dof. I like how the colors blend together. One small thing - wish it was just a little brighter - but not necessary. Sitll liked this very much. Good work 8

Really nice work - the pencil is jumping out at me! I like the whole thing - the colors and the way the blue is on the side and sort of blends with the other pencils and how stark the light is on the tip of the red pencil - this photo is screaming - look at me! look at me! Very artistic - reflects a lot of time and effort (was a 9) 10!

Very creative idea. IMO (not to offend) I think this would've been better with diff lighting. I'm going to assume that the the grey background was not itentional. I suggest manipulating the white balance on the camera or tweaking the gamma in PS. I say this because when I satarted, I didn't even realize how grey the white was. It also appears to me that the point of focus is on the eraser - where as I would have chosen the point of the pencil. One last thing, I would've prefered to be able to see the details a little more on the screw. I'm in the process of learning about how to manipulate light myself - (boy I need practice), but I think I'm slowly catching on. I do like the composition and the idea...ooh just thought of something - would've been more effective if the pencil appeared to be jumping out/reaching out - I can almost sense that was possible the intention - to me, like I mentioned earlier, would focus on the pencil and use a medium dof - only to slightly blur the back - creating that reaching out effect. I'm in no a way an expert and only giving you my take on this. I still recognize the effort and time put into this. Great job! 5

Very interesting. Definately creative. (Geesh, all those boxes of pencils!) I like how the one pencil is going opposite of the placement of the pencils on the box. Perhaps the one thing I would change would the the direction of the light - maybe. I can see some time and effort was put into this. 8
