Awesome (Running out of steam for commenting - so being brief) Color, idea, composition, lighting, the way that the left part of image sort of fades out - all great for this image. time and effort. good work 9

The dark background works well with the yellow subjects. It is creative and original. The colors are beautiful and the placement within the photo is very nice. May have had a higher visual impact if the Pencils were a bit more straight. The 2 horizontal pencils are pretty straight across from each other, but the vertical ones kind of zig zag. Over all great photo. Good job and good luck in the challenge.

Lovely colours and I adore the combination of yellow and black. Because this is such a geometric composition I'd like it if the pencils were more accurately arranged (feel free to call me a picky old cow). I do also find something a little too static in such a centralised composition, yet there is something in this which attracts me. Sorry, this has to be one of my more rambling and useless commments.

Oohh... I like! I had a similiar idea, but just couldn't get it to work-- looks like you did! :-) Image looks a little "flat" (perspective wise), but I like the color and composition. --7-- sohr

maybe a white background to make the yellows pop ?

Terrific! Very original and overall just a pleasing picture to look at...well, you know as pencils go :-). The only thing is that the pencils aren't lined up perfectly straight which isn't a huge deal but against the black background it stands out a bit. Good job and good luck on the challenge! -KrazyKat

this is very pretty, i wonder how it would look with more pencils in the circle? I like it tho.

Though I like this shot, the way the flower is sitting dead center detracts from it, for me. I would love to see a more dynamic shot of this setup. lhall

3- good photo, not creative, flowers are overused, try something else in the middle. Lighting seems to be fantastic though- Pure black.
