The crack isn't an imperfection, it's a defect. The egg can't do its job with that kind of damage. Had you left it alone and concentrated on those little bumps on the surface, the photo would have fit better with the "wabi-sabi" concept. As for the shot itself, I like it. It seems a bit dull - too much gray and not enough white to balance the black shadow under the spoon. I also like the frame you've made with the border and the DOF of the spoon.

OK - I'm going to go against the others and suggest that maybe the overlay is a bit too much on this one. This guy's face is really interesting on its own; I think the busy-ness of the overlay competes with him.
