Great composition and use of lines and angles with this shot. I lke the ethereal effect, although the lack of contrast makes it look a little diluted. Maybe the same effect could have been achieved without sacraficing contrast by playing with curves and layers in pshop? Great shot nonetheless

MMmm tasty! Good composition and use of shapes and colors to make the shot interesting. Maybe using spot focus would help in emphasizing the central cookie with the DOF. The two cookies you put in focus make the shot look somwhat "split". Nice shot nonetheless.

Very interesting shot. Definitely makes the subject matter interesting to look at. The color saturation and textures you've captured is great. Personally, I would have liked to see the water a little less overexposed at the top left. And maybe rotating the shot to make the line between water and leaves angular would add more to the shot. But that's just personal opinion. Great shot nonetheless

What a beautiful photo! The composition and the way you worked with the lighting, shadows, and angles gives a nice ethereal feel to it. Deep DOF works well with the look and it appears you've managed to get some good color saturation despite the bright sky. Nice work.......9

The Beautiful Side of Desktop Clutter

Thanks Shannon. I know what you mean about the cluttered composition. I was torn between a number of versions that I had shot. My orginal submission had only the girl's photo with the glasses. But I second guessed myself and added other elements to the photo. I was afraid I would get comments about the photo being more about the girl, rather than the actual object. So I added the other elements to broaden the theme and include multiple everyday objects in the hope that the challenge theme would not get lost in the visual effect. Overall, I'm still pleased with it and will try some other ideas along the same lines : )
