DPC Psyche Wardby idnicComment: Funny! (but I think it's straitjacket, [or straightjacket], one word). This is how I'm crazy...always proofreading... :-) (And maybe Psych Ward without the "e"... aigggghhh!!! See, I'm sick!
Thanks for being a good sport, and for making your generous offer in the first place. Message edited by author 2006-07-14 13:23:33. |

The Dockby maestroComment: Distinctive shot! Wait, you rotated this 90 degrees? You were going to enter it with the dock pointing up on the left? I think this way is better. Message edited by author 2006-07-13 13:33:09. |

Don't Worry, Bee Happyby MegaweaponComment: In case you haven't seen it, there's a tutorial here that can help in making sure you size your photo to the largest allowable size. Message edited by author 2006-07-12 10:31:28. |

summer by ursulaComment: A beautiful composition! The texture on the petals is great, and I really like the placement of the focus and how well the blurred areas work with the purity of the coloring. |

Tall Yucca with Streetlightby dahvedComment: Thanks for the comments!
Unfortunately, just about a week later a storm blew over the plant. The owners righted it, but cut it down to about six feet tall. I would have liked to see if it would have produced flowers.
Oh, and maybe it's not a yucca...new information I received indcates it's probably a Century Plant, or agave.
And now it's gone completely... Message edited by author 2006-08-04 10:14:46. |

Redby dahvedComment: Thanks, Jason. I actually did desaturate (both in RawShooter and Photoshop) due to the red being too strong. The lawn doesn't show that it's blown out according to the histogram, but that doesn't mean it's not too bright for the shot's composition.
Thanks for the critique! |

Lady in Green by DrAchooComment: Congratulations. I love the clarity of the butterfly, and the green and purple colors in the background. |

untitledby agenkinComment: I liked this shot and gave it an 8. I don't think it's unusual that it's been selected as a fav more than most top 10 finishers. Some probably had difficulty in figuring out how to vote for this challenge topic, but still liked your shot as a beautiful visual, challenge or no. |
