Solitudeby p_johnsComment: Great color. Seems a little over-processed, though, almost posterized in the lower right corner. |

Split Bout....the inner struggleby graphicfunkComment: I'll bet this shot got a DQ request within the first 5 minutes of voting. I could only imagine pulling this off with prints in the background. Regardless, it's a very clever idea that must have taken an ENORMOUS amount of effort. Should place near the top. I can't wait to see the details. (10) |

Peace Pleaseby SonifoComment: Excellent concept and execution. I like the color choice, the use of selective desaturation (rare for me), and the simple composition. Looks like a Sonifo shot. (9) |

Granny Smith's Wild Sisterby tyt2000Comment: Congratulations on yet another top 10 finish. You are on a major tear, with 13 of your last 14 over scoring over 6. VERY few members can boast that kind of record. Nice! |

Spider Rollby scalvertComment: Y'know, I'm a little surprised this placed as well as it did. The mass of "stuff" in the center of the image is just too busy for my taste, but that's what I get for waiting until the last minute. I'll bet a single roll (with lots of legs) held between the chopsticks would have worked much better. I also blew the contrast (as crabappl3 correctly pointed out) by not viewing the entry on a CRT- the background is totally black on a good LCD monitor. Still, I'm doing a major happy dance for finally reaching my goal of 6 for a profile average. Woohoo! :-D
FWIW- Like many spiders, I did eat my subject after the fun was over. Message edited by author 2004-10-06 00:55:27. |

Granny Smith's Wild Sisterby tyt2000Comment: I've heard of cactus pears, but this is something new. That would make one dangerous pie! Good sharpness and DOF. I like the contrasting apple green and purple tones, though I wish there had been a little more light on the right side- it's really dark over there. Bumping to a 9 for the creative simplicity. |

Goldfish Smoothieby afarlandComment: Hilarious- especially with the expression on the fish. One of my top 5 picks in this group. The blender contents are perfectly exposed, but the hotspot on the right side and dull exposure on the left are distracting. |

HandBurgerby arnitComment: Very funny! Probably top-5. I'd love to see that reflection a little stronger. Bumped to a 9 for the creative effort. |

A tasty Thai treat served up on chopsticks by mrorange002Comment: Congratulations on the blue! Given another 1/2 second you would have scored even higher. I had bumped you to a 10 (and removed the Librodo guess- LOL), but I hit the update button just as the server switched over and it didn't go through. ;-) Message edited by author 2004-10-06 14:38:07. |

We got a live one!by aKiwiComment: Interesting idea. Tony Soprano would call this a Whacked Food. Good color and composition, but a little on the "ewww, yuck" side. |
