I'm happy with the blown out windows and think it adds to the overall feel of the image. Melethia has it right, I oft sharpen the image to my liking then give it another 'tweak' for display on the web ;)

I do like the composition here! Fessica has an engaging smile and looks nice and relaxed to me. Definately think fill in flash or something reflective to bounce light back at her would have helped with the hair detail. And thanks for posting your editing steps, they always help me :)

As has been sa (many tis) yes yu can and should crop thiss and edit it? well, thats up to you ;) The snow seems overexposed and I tend to agree that croppin up to te waters edge bottom right would help the overall composition. Looks like you've found a great spot and will be interesting to see this location changing with the seasons.

Cool find :) As others have said its a little soft and am thinking the front post is a little overexposed.

What can I say other than Congratulations MAK! Wasn't the landslide victory for you that I'm sure many where expecting and you were right, I needed a PB to get you.

No wonder I never saw this as yours, was looking for an HDRI landscape lol. You certainly captured the moment here m8 - congrats (honestly!)

A simple image and as has been suggested would have liked the 'main' top right curly bit be in sharp focus rather then bottom left..

First off I prefer this crop to the other one you have. Pity you couldn't hold more detail in the flowers in the vase when you hit the 'kicking high contrast' button. The dogs ear poised and listening is great btw.

I think your comments already mention what you could do to improve, a simple shot yet begs for stories. I actually like the crop as it focusses us on the subjects.

Just had a wander through your portfolio and if you ever get stuck for a submission here I'd love you to reshoot this (or re edit). With some minor adjustements this would be a corker :)

Enough said about the slant I think. I also agree with taking a step to the right and maybe from a slightly lower angle, this would seperate the lamp from thje tree and building. I do like the conversion, rich blacks balanced with the sky (think you got it spot on).
