How is this a still life?

I'm not voting on this one because I don't want to give a really low score. This is not a Still Life. A Still Life requires an arrangement of inanimate objects.
07/26/2007 02:35:04 PM
This does not seem to meet the definition of the challenge, as a "still life" would have inanimate objects as the subject. It might be possible to have this image of two people walking look less like a snapshot by shooting closer or by cropping to simplify the background (maybe eliminate the verticle pole on the left) and by adjusting brightness a tad. Unfortunately, the water bottle also detracts from the people.

This picture evokes emotion, and tells a story, it doesn't really fit (in my oppinion) with still life. I love how the rain is caught and how the guy doesn't even care that its raining.

Really not a still life in my opinion.
07/26/2007 04:48:19 AM
definitely not a still life. besides that, I find the space left of the couple too large, had cropped somehwere near the pole
07/26/2007 12:58:23 AM
To me, this doesn't relate to still life.
07/25/2007 06:02:40 PM
Oh man I bet your getting hammered. Yeah my art teacher would give me an F for painting this!

Still congrats on getting the rain, Ive been trying to capture falling drops and never have even got streaks. Film or Digital.

Either you need to study and find out what a still life photo is, or you're pushing the envelope
07/25/2007 09:28:59 AM
Not really considered still life.
07/25/2007 09:02:22 AM
Doesn't fit the category.
07/25/2007 08:25:45 AM
Not a still life, living beings.
07/25/2007 05:07:46 AM
