A Nosey Friendby trevytrevComment: Nice one :) my first thought was I'd liked to have seen some more detail in the fence then I read your comment and realised it was for Pet Portrait III so a different slant on things. Great capture of a great 'friend' however, looks like the same bit of fence as last years shot? and do prefer Guinness pushing his nose through it - so nosey lol.
oh, imho the dof here is spot on so don't worry about pushing things |

Week 08 - Wasted Timeby KenComment: Love it and a great capture! Its shots like this where I have to nit pick for improvement Ken. The reflection in the water is wonderful but the 2 things that niggle me slightly are the small blown bit of central sky and would have preffered the triangle of surf in the foreground to have been more white. |

week-8-300_0575.jpgby salmiakkiComment: Am sure using the word 'classic' doesn't detract from this image Sarah. We have all seen shots similar to this however this stands out as the composition, dof, exposure and colour (ok black and white) are all exceptional.
btw, I prefer this crop to the original and feel B&W turns it from a good Tulip shot to a great one!

9.52 Frankfurt Hauptbahnhofby MelethiaComment: lol Deb, just peeked in your B&WaW album and notice your up to mid June already!
I do like this shot and feel a little like a voyeur (but enough about that). The people seem almost placed by you to get what you were after and that shadow bottom left is great as is both the B&W conversion and the little bit of dodging on the clockface. Might try that action sometime and just a thought but wonder if you could remove it from the top of the image gradualy so the train and roof are nice and sharp?

Week 6 - Fairhaven High Schoolby CapeSailComment: Damn thats a good photograph Jeff!
The running theme in your comments is perspective - its excellent as is the exposure and composition and that little tree just finishes this off nicely. I'm not going to suggest HDR'ing this to death but it (might) be improved a tad with some subtle D&B'ing?
btw, just googled imaged the school and think you should send/sell them this! |

Week 7: Story Timeby muz64Comment: Excellent composition and exposure and a great image to frame and display. So much more than just a family album shot. The only thing I might suggest you change would be that you closed that o-so-large aperture down to maybe 5.6 then the bg would remain the same and your niece would be tack sharp as well (unless this shot was taken to have Mrs Dawson as the main subject). |

Week 8by chris48083Comment: The problem with showing panoramic shots at places like this is you lose just too much detail so thanks for the link to the colour version. Am pretty sure the B&W version (using Melethia's tip below) printed large would look awesome - thats some unusual (for me) cloud formation.

Week 09 - Long wayby hajekaComment: hehe, second misty image from you in as many weeks - what are you going to do when the sun shines?
Your right, it must have been a great walk and its a great shot as well. As has been managed a little more contrast might help (keeping the fog foggy mind you). are thos 2 white objects halway in bits of rubbish? you may want to clone them out. |

Macro of Unknown Origin...by 777STANComment: Nice image Stan :) Guess I think its some kind of hub (going with the crowd lol) so is it a macro or a closeup? I keep getting drawn to whatever is is going on under the top left circles? I've mentioned in previous comments I'm not a fancy border person but to be honest I only just noticed yours so guess it works really well :) |
