I'm not quite feeling like myself today.by RKTComment: comment only, not voting.
ooh, my first LB shot (10). Am loving the title though you could have dropped the 'like' I think. Quite a surreal image though am commenting in a sober state so might have to revisit later. Am thinking B&W though colour may well be the better option and the colour is very nice. Can I recommend a decent psychiatrist? Good luck with both the challenge and impending treatment! |

One Man's Junk Is Another Man's Rainbowby HipychikComment: comment only, not voting.
Yuour right, I've never seen a row of 9 suitcases on dpc before, does that make this a unique image? thats the reason I'm not voting, this is like a free study with a half hearted attempt at a theme and I think voting will reflect that.
I think the centred composition worked and am drwan to the cracked road surface top right. Good exposure and nice colours - good luck! |

Contagiousby L1Comment: comment only, not voting.
ok, I'm not really sure what this is? maybe a cloth, microscope slide, stamens? So, I can say yes, for me its probably unique but there is nothing here that really holds my interest or makes me think WOW. Am looking forward to the 'reveal' at challenge end. |

Wire layerby IreneMComment: comment only, not voting.
Oooh, my list of images meeting the challenge appears to be growing (have been dissapointed thus far). Yup, its a neat image and definately dpc friendly. I'm not overly keen on the border. Good focus and lighting and I'm soooo glad its not dead centre! |

My heart under your feetby Rino63Comment: comment only, not voting.
ok, I've never seen a decorated sole of the foot before so guess we can add this to the (imho) small number of images I class as truly meeting the challenge. I like the composition, lighting and focus though would have liked the heart a little sharper. The edge of the tile spoils this for me, and whilst you did well with the skin tones, how does this look in B&W? |

Eye Give Upby JuliBocComment: comment only, not voting.
Am thinking most voters will say 'parrot' or similar and not think its a unique, never before seen subject. I'm a sucker for negative space and generally like this type of composition. Sadly nothing is in sharp focus for me and even if this was intentional? imho it detracts from what could have been a very nice image. |

Langdon's World (creator of DPC)by LydiaComment: comment only, not voting.
IMHO I reckon this is one of few images that a) meet the challenge and b) is of an above average quality. I think I'm getting the link with Langdon (has anybody ever seen him) and whilst there are a couple of blown areas and the overall image is a little 'busy' the longer I look at it the more I like it (almost 1984). Good luck! |

Primal Scream!by dsa157Comment: comment only, not voting.
I unsubmitted my sp with a unique twist as I thought it would get slammed (this challenge confusesme). Anyway, for me this is one of the better images in the challenge even though body painting isn't totally new here. well done with the idea, painting and most importantly the excellent lighting. Looks more like a light roar than primal scream mind you ;) am sure this will do well for you! |

Extra Terrestrial ?by JohannesFrankComment: comment only, am not voting.
Some sort of catfish? Not sure about the editing here, the teeth look nice and sharp but the rest seems to be soft with no real detail. The border distracts me a little and that style is (imho) normally reserved for landscape images requiring a little more height. |

the dreaded C wordby Digital_SusieComment: *comment only, am not voting*
This image needs much longer than a couple of seconds to take in. Maybe its because I, like many people have lost a loved one to that letter. This is a compelling image to look at and your model is saying so much with their eyes and pose. A faultless hi key image, a stunningly attractive model. I'm sure you will score well in this challenge but imho this should have gone in High Contrast IV (if it was taken within the dates). This has to be a real portrait (the C word again?) so I wish you all the best for the future. |
