A cold morning before blizzardby DibutilComment: Regarding the border complaints.
My goal was to make as static impression as possible: no wind, no sound, no motion. It is distracting and annoying for everyone who wants to animate the image. No way: everything is dead there... the last seconds before the Storm. |

Zooom!by scrum8Comment: Come on, I put this one at the first place in my voting and alas...
My opinion is as such:
1. The background is irrelevant - the expression on the face cost a milion!
2. Motion blur + DOF but I still see the motion!
3. I don't need to see even a bit more in the frame - I am perfectly aware that she is riding a bike, I would even dare to guess the phase of the pedals at this moment as well as the height difference between the seat and handles! (not that I am a pro biker, just some experience)
Scrum, do not get disappointed, you are the best no matter what! (and definitely better than me in the same challenge ;-))) |

Small, yet smart!by DibutilComment: Thanks everyone for the comments and marks (good and bad :-)))
For the Critique Club I just wanted to mention that this is done with no advanced editing, no effects applied and in fact, no special setup - I had some firewood to chop for my fireplace :-))) |
