There was rain and snow overnight at the Lake Couchiching... And there was calm cold morning... Just before the 40 knot wind came in. This was the day of speed trials at the World Championship in ice and snow sailing ;-) The colors and light are very precise - as they were that morning. Almost no corrections were made.

I think that this is by far the best one out of your folio.

Regarding the border complaints.

My goal was to make as static impression as possible: no wind, no sound, no motion. It is distracting and annoying for everyone who wants to animate the image. No way: everything is dead there... the last seconds before the Storm.

Nice shot. I think I would have liked it even more without the inset border.

This looks cold, but inviting. The trees, with their branches loaded with snow,
and the tracks leading who knows where. There is a little bit of mystery about it.

nice use of a double border The outer could be a little thicker, but that is personal preference. Make the inner gold and you would have a ready made hallmark card.

The frame is very distracting, and I can't really tell what the focal point is.
