Perfectly exposed - whites white - blacks black - beautiful saturation in the colours.
Lots of commercial potential.
If I was still selecting for publication I would use this but crop on the right to get rid of the white. Although it means losing the back of his head - his face is still dominent and strong enough to crry the picture

The composition is very good and isolates the subject well. Black and white is so hard and very subjective. I changed the curve in PS and it immediately gave it more impact -
I like this picture very much

This looks as it has just been pulled from the 1960's
Would make an excellent illustrative picture to go with an education/childcare article and on I would have selected. I adjusted the curve in PS to make the whites - white and that really pulled it out.

Really good composition - I would also like to see it "back to front" focus on face - books out of focus. Great use of DOF. Looking at it from a commercial point of view it is certainly one I would have used - there is just enough space foreground left side for some text

I like the composition. If I were still selecting pictures for publication I think I would consider using this. My only thought is that it lacks "punch" and a the woodburner seems slightly out of focus and it seems that is where the focus should be. There seemed to be a lack of black. I put it into photoshop and moved the sliders around - it makes a huge difference. I would be happy to email my changes and see what you feel. Definately has commercial potential

Really good POV. It lifts the picture out of what could have been an ordinary shot.

I like the play on words - I like the unusual angle - I like the framing of the building between the 2 pieces of vegetation. The only thing that spoils it is the converging vertcles. I accept that some people don't mind them or they can even be exaggerated for effect. I don't think these converge enough to get away with it. Excellent exposure though an an effective picture.

I love these - This should be in a newspaper - it should go with a story - I don't know what story but it should be held in a library. It can be cropped in a multitude of ways and still be great. Boy in back row 2nd from right is a character in himself.
Love it

I did think of school days when I saw this - specifically school holidays. I suspect some may say "why is that school days".....Ignore them. My only problem is the footprints do not look like a childs footprints and that is where I would heave it out in a competition. I am not saying it is NOT a childs footprint. Maybe a shell or similar would have just put the scale into it. Love the aspect and the high horizon. Reflections are great.
