ART5 is a little harsh for this subject. Less contrast with more gray tones would work better. I'd probably keep it as color unless b&w was required.

Roz, this is terrific! Some anticipation and tension along with beautiful geometry. A lethal combination. I agree with jagar about the border. This image doesn't need faux finishes or gimmicks. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) works best sometimes.

Lovely lighting and a nice study in form. For me, Edward Weston is the master of this genre. His b&w still life photography placed more emphasis on form. Color adds additional information which offers a different viewer experience. Kind of rambling here but I look forward to seeing how you approach this theme for the month.

French fare? The pretentious, golden rooster keeping an eye on the gastronomes. My favorite of the three because you made this your own. Beautifully framed and those giant register keys pull us in. Is that five rolls of toilet paper?
