my theme .. taking photos and doing stuff to them .. more or less .. and maybe experimenting a bit ..

for the March side challenge

visiting my daughter yesterday ..
katee wanted to come up the stairs and she needs my help a they are very slippery .. i went to bring her up and saw this .. quick phone out of pocket took a couple of shots ..
i was thinking of the headshot from behind challenge when i was taking the shot .. but i didnt have a chance to reposition myself before they moved ..

probably wouldnt have met the challentge as it said "Show us the back of somebody's head. No profile, nothing but the back" ..
so i'd be bombing out on two counts .. firstly the somebody bit .. altho i think of our dog's and cat's as somebodies .. i dont think everyone else does .. and the back of the head .. unfortunately we can see a bit of sundae's cheek ..

Wonderful shot, and definitely my kind of processing.

Dogs and cats ARE somebodies :). I love the story this tells. Are they friends? Are they rivals? Are they playing? You can create a lot of scenarios. Great image and I love your processing.

Nice processing -- especially the grungy edges. It looks like Katee is doing some urban exploration and has found a denizen in the venue.

Roz, this is terrific! Some anticipation and tension along with beautiful geometry. A lethal combination. I agree with jagar about the border. This image doesn't need faux finishes or gimmicks. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) works best sometimes.

Great composition but I am not sure with the old photo PP is the best choice in this case.

Best friends playing catch-up, good composition and the processing works, I think borders work better on a not so busy composition but the overall feel to this is good.

Wonderful shot. Fine, busy composition that comes together like a puzzle. An interesting ying/yang feel. The processing, especially around the periphery, claims the image as unique and iconic..
