Danger Ahead!by wbanningComment: That ER in the lower left corner, whether consciously or not, tells the story. I'm concerned about the person leaping over the stream. "Sorry sir, we didn't see the sign." Entertaining shot! |

the way it wasby mariucaComment: I like this version because you got in closer. I'd be tempted to crop this square and remove the modern car reflection on the right. The window, text, shadows, tones and subject matter reminds me of Saul Leiter. One of my favorite photographers so I do like this. Nicely spotted! |

Tribute to Charlieby MargaretNetComment: That tactically placed circle draws our attention. The lower right quadrant is the natural place for our eye to fall. It make a nice ending, with Charlie Chaplin and his companion leaving us or possibly returning? |

she smilesby rozComment: This is a keeper. Having taken this picture, of your dog, there is no way for us to feel what you did but it makes us happy. Full of love and fun! |

daffodilby JuliBocComment: I love as found filters like the screen in your image. The screen isolates the daffodils from the winter backdrop. The cross shaped windowpane is also a powerful symbol. Nice! |

Seville Orangesby GermaineComment: The copper bowl echoes the brilliant orange color. Remnants of green leaves tell us they were not picked long ago. |

chez-nousby mariucaComment: Tablecloths, silver, glassware, and a hand written menu, the stage is set. Waiting for daylight to end. Looks like a fine, unpretentious place to dine. |

I see what you're saying but I find her hand and the fire truck important elements. Street photography should show the environment and not a detail in isolation. At least these are the most rewarding shots for me. The challenge is in finding the proper compromise between simplicity and complexity. |

multi-exposure1by MargaretNetComment: Makes me dizzy. I've never had much luck with multiple exposures so I'm probably not much help. markwiley has posted some lovely images, using this method, that you might find interesting. |
