a compelling shot because the pigs are marching toward us and one is very close indeed. it has the immediacy of war photography

Really nice composition and b/w contrast. I like the light area on the ground with the top and bottom darker. I agree with Marnet, that is would be stronger without the white object in the background.

Definitely tells a story. I get the impression they think you're going to feed them. The closest one is definitely sniffing you out for food. Interesting capture.

it looks like you may be the pied piper .. those pigs seem to have a liking for you .. !! ..
and you and your camera have a liking for them .. !! ..
great shot ..
i feel like i've stepped back in time as well ..
in some ways that white piece of wood .. or whatever it is .. gives this a bit of contrast .. i feel that it fits in nicely with the composition of your image and the tones .. :)

I like you composition with open space to the left. Really nice exposure for minimal.

Thanks for the nice comments, earlier. Regarding background...I wish the old white shed was dark wood, but it's there and I'm committed to doing this exercise SOOC. I shot with Raw + jpg, so, I would definitely do a little cloning if I was going to use this for anything else.

Fine, utterly straightforward image of conditions and animals from which people often shy away. As an aside, please let's remember that they're more intelligent than dogs and, given their druthers and the opportunity, rather fastidious. Not to knock slow and sloppy, which also has its charms. There's a subtle, sinuous line in this advance of the pigs, which bestows an undercurrent of rhythm amidst the gloop. There's a nice visual grainy contrast to the overall expanse. Your settings are smartly chosen. The white structure in the far background is distracting, but it kind of looks like a snout, which is apropos, in a Moby Dick way.

Beautiful shot with good contrast.

Contrast is something I'm finding really difficult with b&w minimal. I'm hoping that I'll figure it out by the end of the month.

Really good composition. And it has this beautiful look of an analog.
I'd love if you'll indicate the setting that you had for your Fuji.

Scary for me, wouldn't like to meet them. That white object in the background spoils a bit the rhythm of the image.

Every hog in just the right place. Great challenge idea, Fuji are top in in camera settings, I miss mine for that.
