Beautifully lit. I am impressed with your control over the light. It highlights and shadows in jsut the right places. I am conflicted about the punching bag(?) that he is leaning on. I get why it is there and I think it does add some environmental atmosphere to the shot, but I find the highlights on it distracting. They are the brightest thing in the shot. I love the kicker light coming in from behind him. It gives great separation and illuminates the line of his back. I just wish the light on the bag was not so strong (or it was a darker color). Bumping to an 8.

A beautiful pet portrait. I like the soft focus. The textures of his fur and the blanket are great. I wish there was a catchlight in the dark eye, but it is hard to get those canine subjects to turn their heads the right way! Very nicely done.

Your lighting here is just lovely. I really like the expression and her looking out of the frame. I would have pushed the compostion more and had her closer to the edge of the frame, with more negative space to the left of her. It is "almost" a cool, quirky composition, but she is still a bit too centered to pull it off completely. 7 from me.

Nicely done. Great sharpenss and colors. I like the model's hands up near her face, too, especially with your compostion. I think your main light is a little low. The catchlights are at 7 or 8 o'clock in her eyes, instead of 10 o'clock and the nose shadow goes up her face towards the eye instead of under her nose. Other than that, I think this is spot on. 7 from me.

A truly lovely pet portrait. I hope you aren't getting knocked down too much for your choice of subjects. This is really wonderful lit and composed (tho I might have had him off center a little more to the left of the frame). The DOF and colors and lines all work very nicely. 7 from me.

Love his expression. It goes perfectly with the image. Love any little kid who can raise one eyebrow like that :) A cute idea and well executed. A minor nitpick is that the vignette is a little strong for my taste. I need a couple of those jackets for my kids some days!

Beautiful lighting (and a beautiful baby!). I like the up-close crop and compostion. Very nice. The skin tones seem a little cool, but monitors differ. The light in the eyes and the soft shadows are sublime. 8 from me.
