Of all the animal portraits in this contest, I think I like this one the best. The focus falloff is great, and tack sharp in the right place. The background is also both appropriate and interesting, and the angle adds some nice depth to the shot. It does appear to be just slightly off-balanced to me, but a simple crop could fix that. Overall, the contrast and tonality here is very nice and I enjoyed this shot a lot. Good job.

Oh, great shot. I love the depth of view. The bench and background add to the shot. Great focus on the eyes. I hope it does well.

A truly lovely pet portrait. I hope you aren't getting knocked down too much for your choice of subjects. This is really wonderful lit and composed (tho I might have had him off center a little more to the left of the frame). The DOF and colors and lines all work very nicely. 7 from me.
