 Straight from camera pretty much using a small 12inch reflector, 115cm umbrella on a bowens 500w flash unit and available window light to highlight the dogs back. Took several shots as animals never sit still...

Basically testing out some lighting equipment.

Edited in Lightroom, cropped WB to 5600k and not much else if anything at all. Used Photoshop to resize to 640 pixels and saved for web.

Uploaded to website.

Nice soft unobtrusive photo, yet very clear and detailed. Great photo! But this isn't a dog... its a Yorky! :-)

Makes me think of family portraits hung above the mantle, I know of a few dogs this spoiled :)

A beautiful pet portrait. I like the soft focus. The textures of his fur and the blanket are great. I wish there was a catchlight in the dark eye, but it is hard to get those canine subjects to turn their heads the right way! Very nicely done.

Heeee - I know that little doggy. Terrific focus and lighting technique. If I were to critique anything, I'd like both eyes to have the catchlight, but heh, you can't make a pet do everything. LOL

Very sweet portrait. Got just the right amount of texture and detail on fur, which looks soft but still has a lot of definition. Great use of lighting.
