This is a good friend of mine, who last week fought in a charity boxing event and won! :) The event was firefighters versus police "Guns 'n Hoses". He was pitted against a cop who was about 6" taller and 50 pounds heavier. He got a KO in the 2nd round! First KO ever for this event. He's such a sweet guy that it broke his heart when he found out the cop was seriously injured (broken bones around the eye socket) and needed surgery so he won't fight again. To celebrate the win he and I did a 3 hour super-session in my studio with a bunch of his firefighter gear, boxing gear, fitness shots, etc... We had a blast!

Beautifully lit. I am impressed with your control over the light. It highlights and shadows in jsut the right places. I am conflicted about the punching bag(?) that he is leaning on. I get why it is there and I think it does add some environmental atmosphere to the shot, but I find the highlights on it distracting. They are the brightest thing in the shot. I love the kicker light coming in from behind him. It gives great separation and illuminates the line of his back. I just wish the light on the bag was not so strong (or it was a darker color). Bumping to an 8.

I like the darkness of the shot. Very moody. Good job.

Nice shot. My only issue is that I feel the eye is drawn down to his lower abdomen/ shorts due to the lighting being brighter here than elsewhere

I almost feel like it needs just a tiny bit more light on his face, but otherwise, neat shot.

overall a tad too dark, his pose and expression don't match the title, he looks rather weak
