Ben A`an at twilight by geewhyComment: Thanks to all for the kind words,
this was my first chance since joining DPC to get out and into my beloved hills..it was also my first attempt at dodging and burning (which helped to emphasise the sunlight and shadows)Hopefully, I`ll get a little better as time goes on.
For the people who expressed an interest in how this was achieved...(nothing too difficult)Took around 6 exposures at different settings, chose the one which had the most sky detail..then used curves to return some detail to the dark areas, finished it off with a little dodging and burning (for reasons above)then reduced noise slightly in Neat image.
Thanks again to everyone who voted and commented.

Behind the Green Fenceby ccaseyComment: Really good composition..almost abstract with it`s limited colour and strong geometric design.
Good work |

Familyby MotoCycleBoiComment: Great picture of very photogenic animals.
I entered a similar image in the NG challenge (from the banks of Loch Voil)which done quite well and it wasn`t as sharp or interesting as yours.
Best of luck with your submission |

Unexplored Undergroundby redmoonComment: I really like the symmetry and exposure in this image,
If you had been lucky enough to get a figure on each side...then you had an unbeatable picture in my view |

Fire extinguisherby MrAkamaiComment: One of those simple but very effective images..which means it`s been done right !!
The lighting is all important in this type of work and I think you have got it perfect.
Compositionally, I might have tried bringing the extinguisher in towards the centre ..just a touch..but that`s being trivial and will assume that you tried that and it looks better this way ?
Well done |

A New Perspectiveby jjbeguinComment: Nice mix to this image...the feeling of being enclosed yet with the big wide world out there on view makes it quite unique.
The light and shadow on the framework also adds to the impact.
Good work |
