Sunset at the Siteby aimee_skittlesComment: Subject matter is spot on, looks really interesting, and the sunset looks good as well....but I think your post processing has really hurt your chances! The Haloing is really bad around the lampost and crane, and the noise has been amplifed in the sky. "shadows & highlights"? Good luck in future challenges, you obviously have an eye for it. |

Impressions at the Gettyby JutildaComment: Shame it isnt a bit sharper, I really like the composition and subject. The abstract quality really makes it stand out. |

Obliviousby sacredspiritComment: I love the abstract feel to it. I tried something similar but this is far more effective. I hope it does really well 9 |

The Showjumperby cheekymunkyComment: Wow thanks for all the comments! I wasnt expecting all that! I know what you mean about the trees, they really bug me now. I didnt sharpen the image at all, but at the moment I took this it became really overcast & I'm not sure I've the hang of the whole metering thing, so the sky was white & I found it really distracting. So (rather crudely) I selected the sky with the magic wand, and used the "shadows/highlights" option in PS-CS and whacked up the highlights bar to bring the clouds out. I think i need a better what to achieve the same effect!.

Winged Beautyby amcfotoComment: Great macro subject suits the challenge well, just wish his abdomen and wing were stilll in the frame, but I guess there is a good reason for that! they are not the most cooperative of creatures! |
