Sheboygan River in Kohler.

Two duplicated layers with light gaussian blur. Top layer in screen mode at 36%, middle layer in overlay mode at 37%. Layer mask used to remove the gaussian blur to the sky (selectively). Increased brightness and contrast. Frame added with radial blur in zoom mode.

People will either love or hate this! I'm obviously hoping for the former :)

The frame ruins the photo for me

This has some awesome lighting and texture. My dream is to someday be able to capture a scene like this. If anyone tells you they don't like the border, tell em to jump off a cliff! :o) I love it!

Attractive pastoral scene, certainly meets the challenge. Nice lines and tones. I wish the lavendar extended across the entire foreground for better balance, but Mother Nature was quite cooperative for you regardless! I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot about the framing -- it does distract though. Good job.

You captured a very lovely view. Nice lighting. I would prefer it without the frame as there is a lot going on, and the extra lines only make it busier.

Very pretty but I dislike the blurred border. I'm sure you will hear that many times in the course of this challenge. Overall a nice photo 5

Ah oh, better watch out for the border police. (I know, I'm late in voting, you've probably already received a ton of remarks) Well... I, for one, happen to like your border. Hopefully I'm not the only one. The actual picture looks nice. I kinda would like a little more contrast around the purple flowers, just to make them more distinct. Good luck in the challenge!

Why the border and the radial blur?! It looks fantastic as it is, I think it's a shame to add PS effects but that's just me! Good luck

I love the golden green color you've captured. The composition has the quality of an old oil painting. I'm doing my best to ignore the frame which really distracts me. The reflections in the water the gray and white clouds suspended in the soft air. Very beautiful.

I love the content of the photo, and the border is neat, but it is too big, and it really distracts from the purity of the image. I like the idea of the border, but just not in this shot.

effective border seems to draw my eye into such a tranquil scene, the touch of purple really adds to the image, very nice

the frame/border is ... ah, .... a major negative to this entry. It overwhelming and makes a nice shot look like tacky digital art.

Beautiful...a 10 without the frame.

I love the frame, but I don't know if it will be appreciated here. Great photo too, of course.

One of my favourites so far! Border spoils it a bit, but still worth a 9!

Not quite sure why I like this so much - the framing definitely adds, which is unusual.
