in these crowded streetsby hopperComment: i like how the flag and one way sign mimic each other. i'm having alot of trouble with the rest of your composition. the next most interesting thing for me are the lights but the one set seems too high in the frame. what i assume is your major point of interest is out of focus and seems to only take away from the feeling of completely desolate streets which normally would be crowed, which i'm inferring was your intent. also the bottom right object seems unwarented. your shot did grab my attention, sorry for being so critical of your work. |

Bygone Eraby AlexSaberiComment: i really like the lighting. my first impression was the boat blends in too much with the curve of the bridge. i wish it was on a different angle to help add more dynamic to the pic |

66°Nby eyjoComment: i really like the moodiness of this pic. I wish you had added to the isolation by going with a wider angled approach. a bit soft but i only see that as a problem due to the sharpness of your border, which as you might already have heard, is a bit overpowering |

The Coffee Mirrorby LedZeppelin588Comment: odd that you chose to turn this on it's side. i find the reflection itself extremely interesting and might have chosen to focus more on that as more of an abstract composition. the fact that you have decided to go a different angle and show more of the outside of the cup, i do like the fact that there is another item (even if it is a partial piece) to help the eye move around the pic and make the shot a bit more dynamic |

Coffeeby sigrun_thComment: i really like the angles created by the body positions and how the outstreched arm and leg play off each other. i'm not sure about the 3rd person as it takes away from the symbiosis of the twosome...or maybe i just wanted to use the word symbiosis. i guess you sometimes have to just deal with the distractions if the right moment presents itself in your focal point. the table items do feel a wee bit oversharpened. |

tv dinnerby art-ineptComment: hey...i gave this a 7 when i voted on it, which is fairly high for me. I think the techique is excellent and it said 70's to me, eventhough i now see how modern the tv is. i felt the point of light was necessary to add interest and keep the eye moving about the pic. the pink in the flower matching the tv screen is super strong and adds to the ease of viewing this pic. i think the ceter split composition not only works but is the only way to go with this type of image. please keep up the good work |

edit_2.jpgby mrmojoComment: this is very cool. i'm wondering why you left some areas unprocessed and very low in contrast. if that's some kind of fog i think i wish it wasn't there. very eyecatching none the less. |

Milk Traceby bamihooComment: this is a fantastic macro...5.2? have the people on this site become that bad at judging pictures, or perhaps they're all looking for emotional impact from their milk shots. Message edited by author 2005-09-14 21:27:41. |
