i was looking to do a set of pieces documenting trash myself, apparently you've beaten me to it. Though this work is much more avant garde than i imagined mine would have been. technically your image to me feels too hot in spots that don't seem to warrant being hot.

nice find. they should have a show where they capture people like this, they can say "you got just got juxxed". Perhaps only photographers would enjoy it though, and perhaps only photographers who are scratching their heads with their photos in the 5's right now. damn your hip sure knows how to frame a shot, you should let him take the shots more often...just kidding :) Actually, i would have thought walking around town using this technique might have yielded a bit more interesting angles. this almost looks like you took it normally, perhaps that's a good trait to have in your "hip shots"

wow that processing makes the city seem almost sterile...or else reyhjavik is just spotless ;) very cool photo. i wouldn't call it street photography as suggested in the challenge description, but i'm guessing that doesn't matter if know how to appeal to voters in a street photography challenge.

nice emotion captured. i'm surprised you didn't crop way down square to just get the couple and remove the end of the bench and the trashcan. i don't think you needed those objects to show "streetness"...this really isn't a "street" type of shot anyway, because the environment seems to not be interacting with your subjects at all.
