I have to say that this type of photography is an art in and of itself. I kept wondering when someone was going to ask me what I was doing snapping shots of them without their permission. I felt like "Voyeur" of sorts. I quickly recognized that doing this in the wrong area, with the wrong people around could get dangerous in a big city!

I shot this with the "from the hip" style of shot. I had the camera at my side and just glanced down at the LCD screen to see if I had anything in the viewfinder and snapped it. I actually caught quite a number of shots, but this one stole my heart with the little girl's expression. She wore on her face what I was feeling.

There wasn't a heck of a lot of adjusting to the camera settings to take these shots. It was more of a trial and error type of shot. Standing there focusing wasn't a "given" in these types of cases. It's aim and hope for the best.

Anyone know if doing this is LEGAL????? I'd hate to be sued for this now!! Don't we need waivers or something to put up strangers' pictures on the net????

Anyone got a good attorney they can let me borrow????

This needs a slight counterclockwise rotation to level your horizon before the poor people slip on the ice and slide right off the right edge of the frame! ;-) Other than that small detail, I quite like this.
