Spilloverby Mwilton111Comment: This is so beautiful. I have no idea how this could have been done and makes me appreciate photography and nature! |

Connection Perceptionby Eagle40Fox2Comment: Seeing as you used the 50mm prime, I wonder about where the plane focus is lying. As is, you are losing sharpness in the nose and eye sockets. With the composition, that is where the eye tends to be led. I see this picture, which I like, looking better with more overall sharpness, maybe with a smaller aperture? |

Sans Titreby daisydavidComment: I really pegged this to place. I agree with the comments about the crop. This is a great pic. |

It's in the catchlightsby AllenPComment: I do love the processing and lighting in this. It's almost impossible to imagine doing this without a softbox. Is it possible?? (I don't own one.) I had a similar idea, but didn't do it for lack of time. I wanted a heavier sharpened look, close up and intimate like yours, and a lot more gritty. Therefore, I'm curious as to the post-processing of this. |

Krzysztof Rogerszoon van Rijnby gyabanComment: There's lots of good in this, but the yellow was too much for my taste too. Rembrant is one of my favorite artists, and for that matter I did like the textured version on flickr a bit better. I also pulled this into PS and set the neutral point in a curves layer to about 3/4 the way up your collar (then dropped the opacity of that curves layer to about 75%), anyway, that looked a lot better IMO, and it balanced the blue a lot more. Actually, I didn't too much notice the blues before I did that. Hope that helps!
Classic pose also, except part of me really wants that to be a bubble pipe. Ha! |

Connection Perceptionby Eagle40Fox2Comment: Nice. I like the intimacy of this. I would consider using the straighten tool to level the pupils (that's a small deal), but I still really like this. |
