Close-up Featherby vtruanComment: This might have done nice in "pwl". I like the wild colors and the dof. There isn't enough information to know it's a feather, but it sure is a pretty abstract. |

Can you spot an intruder?by labudsComment: Excellent texture and detail and color and light. The composition is confusing. I was looking at his hoody and thinking, what a nose! Is that what the title was about? I see, there's a bug on the hemp? |

Dissapearing Wetlandsby ellamayComment: Lovely photograph. Moody and quiet. Nice job of focusing. I like it and will not lower your score for spelling your title wrong, after all, what are editors for anyway? It would be interesting to see what would happen if you increased the saturation a bit. |

The Highland Cow (Scotland`s hardy breed)by geewhyComment: So cute. I wish I could see her eyes better and her nose was cleaner, but I suppose she wouldn't let you get in close to groom her? Just seeing that partial eye on the left sorta spoils the picture. Worth trying to get some more pictures, though. |

AIDS in AFRICA: Will A Cure Come In Time?by CatherineComment: I'm almost done with all the pictures and I must say, this one is the most pro-looking one of the bunch. The light is a little off, but you gathered all your props nicely, they are in a pleasing arrangement within the frame and you have a title that supports the photo. Good job. Not a "wow" photo, but it is a "pro" one.
Edit: Now that I think of it, it would be a better fit with "Newsweek" or some magazine of that type. But you still keep your 10. |

Overhauling Historyby mbardeenComment: I like it because of the position and activity of the four men. Good capture. Have you considered cropping this in a vertical pano with just the guys and a little to the left and right left in? It's really a pleasure to look at this. |

Lurkingby soupComment: It's a cat. Right? I like your bold take on the subject but the way s/he is framed makes it a bit confusing. Maybe if there was more light on the nose it would help define the cat's face more. |

Carnivorous Plants: Nepenthes Rafflesianaby amsmythComment: Lovely flower, the colors are perfect and the shallow dof is exactly right. I like the framing also. It looks like you cropped a lot out of the picture and the resized it. It does degrade the quality of the picture somewhat when that happens. Or maybe you used the digital zoom part of your zoom? |
