Is he Lasher from the Anne Rice series? That's what both these graveyard pictures remind me of. Or perhaps he's one of the vampires? Lestat?

Fine technique, just seems to have been entered into the wrong challenge. I like the clarity of the structure opposed to the falling lights. Good job. I'm trying to use a x31 and I hope some day I get results like this.

I enjoyed this but didn't vote the challenge. This was the best I saw but I thought it was maybe jj's. Good job.

I love how the light from his t shirt shines back up onto his face and makes it glow. The curve of his back and hair really makes this one stand out. Did you have a reflector behind him? Really a nice location you found.
Personally, I think it would have been more versatile if he had been kick boxing or shadow dancing instead of praying.

Adding this to my favorites. You did such a fantastic job with it. A super example of "seeing" the picture before you take it.

omg, isn't this cute. The high key works well for this. The lighting is good, the focus perfect and the glasses makes it very unique. Imo, it's unfortunate that both hands and the head are cut off but I can see any parent treasuring this picture. Did you try different crops?

Read the comments. The bare walls. That's another thing that adds to the mood I felt. Keep up the good work.

This is a wonderful picture. Maybe not perfect for the challenge it was presented in, but great none the less. The overexposure really makes me recall those sunny days of summer when everything was so exciting and fresh and fun. You captured the expressions really well. It's amazing how you got so much information in them considering the overexposure. Just so I don't feel like a hypocrite, I gave you a 4 for the challenge.

That must have been a nightmare, trying to get it in focus and writing at the same time. Glad you got a tripod and new camera. Happy shooting.

I like this too. It's one of the best conversions to a paint effect I've seen. The lighting is beautiful.
