It was the night of the challenge due date and I hadn't taken any photos. I was having a hard time thinking of something that would really express the concept of chaos other than my first idea of fractals which I figured many people wouldn't understand.

The main thing on my mind was the studying I had to do for three tests the next day in Biology and Anatomy and Physiology I and II (yes, I am taking both at the same time in a mad rush to apply to medical school by next summer and also get my radtech certification.)

Taking these classes plus Chemistry in the same semester can get a bit confusing. I am often studying the same or similar topics but told different information by different teachers and different texts.

The photo I wanted to shoot was a triple exposure in camera of

1) the skull I was studying
2) my own profile perfectly aligned with the skull and
3) some diagrams for the biology notes I was studying with white around the edges so that they would only show up in "my brain".

I took a few practice shots, trying to get my head and the skull aligned and it was a lot harder than I had imagined.

After about an hour I realized I should be studying for the tests instead of taking a photo of my poor attempts at studying so I decided to submit one of my trial shots.

It is actually 4 exposures done in camera consisting of
1) My head
2) Skull
3) Head showing muscles
4) Biology notes on cell respiration

It certainly did look chaotic to me and I thought the idea was good. I thought it was going to score in the mid fives somewhere. I am very pleased that people liked it.

Thank you very much to Judy Pochard for wishing me luck on my tests. They went very well. I'm still hanging on to my 4.0 (glad that wasn't the score my photo got!)

Looking back at it I really wish I had gotten rid of that glare on the paper of the biology textbook. It completely ruins the image. That might have been worth not studying a little longer for. :)

The title was created by chaotic brain mutations.

First it was "Study for Monday's Tests"
Next it was "Study on Monday's Tests", which didn't sound right but was the idea I wanted with the double meaning.
"Study of Monday's Tests" still doesn't sound quite right either, but you get the idea...

this is very good, you've captured chaos with the head images and made it viewable by using b&w (would be too much in color IMHO) one of my favorites this challenge
