I honestly don't feel this shot deserved such a low score. You have even lighting with no clipping of shadows though there are no major highglights. The model is pleasing and pleasant and her pose is good with the hand grabbing something a nice touch. You got good DoF and the tree adds interest with a nice line and acts as framing in the composition. The technicals of the camera work are all good. Exposure, color, focus, DoF, composition... all good work.

I can't remember what you're using for software, but the PP is a little lacking in contrast. Try to adjust your black point a touch lower and bring your whites up a touch more. You can do that by adjusting highlights and shadows or through a curves adjustment or even by levels. The shot may be a hair soft but it is a sharpness issue and not a focus issue. It could be brought up in PP.

I would have voted this a 6 and I feel the score should be more in the 5.5 - 5.7 range.

Interesting shape for the dollar. It is tough to shoot a flat object well. The shape helps add interest but, there is a lack of highlights and shadows creating a very flat lit photo which comes off dull.

I like the gradient background. It is nice and clean. The shoes are pretty and well composed however the lighting is really hot on the top of the shoes, especially on the toe of the shoe on the left where no detail is shown.

I looked at this shot several times during the challenge. I was one of your 5 voters. I felt the shot was good overall had good sharpness and color. The composition was very good with excellent foreground, midground and background elements. I think it lacked luminosity. The light is very even out there and the sky is fairly overcast and dull grey. It does have some interest but overall I felt the light of the day was not very good. You represented the scene very well in your shot. So I would say it wasn't anything you did in particular, just the light at that time did not help the scene. I probably should have bumped you up to a 6 as the processing and camera work was solid overall. Personally I think 5.7xxx is a good score for this and puts it above your average score!

Stunning pop of color in a very fancy setting. The area of the model is a little dark and could be made brighter. It looks like the bright streak of light just behind the horse would be the perfect spot for her to be in. Also I feel the shot is lacking a little in clarity. The color is right on and that red is awesome against all the green.

I love photo impressionism and you definitely have the start of something here. Unfortunately the frame is all background. You really need one more compositional element in the abstract image for it to pop. I can envision a big red OOF buoy out on the sea! Perhaps you can add a pop of color to this by hand in PS with a big, soft brush and make yourself a nice piece of wall art.

The fstop used for this shot is definitely not the sweet spot of this lens. The bokeh circles are nice however the shot, even the focal point, is very soft. You were out in and did find some nice light!
