Double reflectionsby oscarburdComment: As much as I try to open my mind and bend it outside the corners of the box that is the challenge description, I just can't see how this fits the challenge...
Otherwise, the colors are lovely and the reflection is good. Despite a little dust on the mirror and the shot being off center so much for no apparent reason, this is a very good photo. |

Springby jerseyjimComment: I think this is a good photo with good composition showing the flowers filling the frame. One thing it is lacking is contrast. It looks like the contast was lowered or not adjusted. That in turn dulls the color giving everything a grey overtone and minimum depth due to lack of contrasting highlights and shadows. Pump that up a little bit and this gets much better. |

Sustenanceby tfarrell23Comment: A good everyday subject with objects that go together photographed well. Good lighting and no apparent reflections causing distractions. It appears there are some jpg compression around the mug handle and the spoon handle causing the Jaggies. The frame is different. I like the off white simulated matting but I would have made the outer line a dark blue or silver and kept it in line with the tones already in the image rather than add the gold. |

Entrance to inner sanctum of tulip...by anniekComment: Here you've created the entrance by giving us a view into the inner parts of the tulip. I like the lighting used. It gives a great illumination to the almost transluscent petals. |

Susan Gray Hallby bcrantsComment: Great capture of Shadows and Light. The arches are superb shapes and lead you right through to the door. I would totally hang this on my wall. |

Canal Entranceby PennyStreetComment: You denoted the entrance well with the gate across the canal. The canal wall and the bollards are leading your eye down the canal but there is the horizontal bar across the picture closing down access. It's kind of unique in composition that way because my eyes want to follow the leading lines into the background but they keep hitting the gate and coming back into the foreground.
I like the line of the buildings in the background with the varied roof structures and windows creating interesting patterns and rhythm.
The gate is really sharp and crisp, but the sharpness seems to fall off into the background. Overall there are rich colors due to good exposure. |
