Citrus Drinkby MaYzComment: Very nice indeed....Most of the time fly's on fruit is a kiss of death in shots like this..I work in advertising and one of the things pounded into my head was the negative connotations. If you do add this kind of element you really needed to get the fly and orange in more focus/detailed to help the poster quality of the shot. Still very ambitious and well done...8...hokie |

blind potatoesby grahamgormanComment: Very ambitious abstract and well executed. Color and composition are well done. Hoping for a bit more contrast but thats a personal preference..8...hokie |

A Long and 'Rinding' Roadby chrisabComment: simply a wonderful concept that i wished were mine :-) I work in advertising ans see tons of ad style photography everyday from stock photos to local artists..its always nice to see (to me) a new idea well executed...I found myself wanting to see tht back lime just a bit (maybe 10% sharper) or I would have given you perfect marks....9...hokie |

Twist of Limeby jkiolbasaComment: Superior work...this style looks oddly familiar..like somebody I always give high marks too :-) Anyway..well executed..nice choice of background. Almost perfect. I treated this as an ad/poster shot and as such I would have wanted the skin of the hand to be a bit less dry looking..I know..I know..we aren't models and it just missed getting you a 10. I see lots (meaning 100's) of shots like this in stock photo samples in my advertising work so I am a bit jaded and most of them use wonderful manicured female hands to push the sex appeal..still great shot 9..hokie |

Forbidden Fruit by jmsetzlerComment: Finally some more human figure studies..and one of the best ones I have seen in a while here....very smooth shadows and jjust the right amount of sharpness to the skin but not too sharp which tends to ruin human skin texture. 10..hokie |

Lemon slices and .....an ant!by JeanComment: interesting concept..probably one of the more unique cutaway shots I have seen in a while. At first I marked down because I was getting tired of seeing puffy claoud shots but as the week wore on I got ove it :-) Some chromatic and pixelation/oversharpening artifacts kept this from a 10..still..very exceptional...9..hokie |

Kiwi by NitenComment: My best "abstract" of the week. Kiwis always make grat cutaway shots but it's not alway easy to get as clean and well executed a shot as this one...10..hokie |

green papayaby prkembyComment: The abstract quality of this shot is excellent..Yo useem to be let downby the quality of the camera as there seems to be a lot of noise in the shot and the color saturation is pretty bad...nevertheless....great composition..8..hokie |

strawberry and curlsby defrostedComment: Wonderful highlights. I am a sucker for overexposure that helps to emphasis high and low contrast and the combination of human element and the berry is excellent..Maybe just a little TOO overexposed by maybe a fraction to me missed this getting a perfect marks...9..hokie |
