Just wanted to reply to the "Crop" comments... I didn't crop it. I wanted as close a shot of the tire as possible and to get the detail I was looking for, this was as much of the truck as I could get in the shot. Had I moved slightly to the right, there would be a complete rear tire, but still no top of the truck because the front tire (and main subject) is at the bottom of the frame. Then the crop would have been altogether too tight.

When the sun sets what? This is a very beautiful photo, but I just don't get the connection between it and authority. otherwise, it's technically sound, has great composition and is very appealing... 5

I don't really see the connection between your photo and Authority. It's also not the most interesting sunrise photo. I am assuming that the flare is intentional, but it is really not enhancing this photo for me. Also, the bright spot where the sun is actually hurts my eyes. When I vote, the challenge topic is a small part of my score. I usually look at the overall compositon of the photo as well as the technical aspects and overall appeal. Based on these, I have to give you a 4.
