Nutty McNutfaceby Bear_MusicComment: Great shot of one of our many neighbors!
... and you can see where the squirrels started to dismantle the feeder last year to make it easier to retrieve the peanuts! |

Clock Worksby grahamgatorComment: Beautiful, and very well lit, enhancing the patina of age. Tied for my top vote of a 9. |

architectural elements by mariucaComment: Congratulations on a truly "engaging" image. The different planes really make this a stand out.
On quite a different note, I keep coming back to look at it, and each time can't quite shake the feeling that I am looking at a stage set. There seems to be something about the form and texture, and perhaps the lighting, that causes this and I find it quite fascinating that it happens so consistently. Just thought I would share this reaction! |

Flight of the Faeries by vawendyComment: I'm trying to imagine doing a "paint with light" for a minimal editing shot and trying to figure out the length of exposure and time to spend "painting" each part. That's pretty impressive.
Congrats on the ribbon. Got my highest score for this challenge. |

Cornflowers await the stormby PenelopeKComment: Originally posted by vawendy: What an absolutely gorgeous field! Huge congrats on HM! How do you like Bear's camera?
Dizziness is such an awful feeling -- I'm so glad you're feeling better! |
Thank you, Wendy. I loved this field and just had to stop for it. Robert and I both shoot with Sony mirrorless cameras now, and the alpha 7 and 7R are the same body and we set them up the same, so it's a pretty seamless transition from one to the other. The main difference is that while we bought two 24-70 mm lenses we share a wide angle and a 70-200 lens and the wide angle is usually "housed" in Robert's camera bag !! |

Father and Son by vawendyComment: The image is priceless by itself, but then to read this " Jesse had no idea what had been done.". That's the part I find really great. What was his reaction when you showed him the images, or when he saw the back of Jeff's head, whichever occurred first? |

Not set up. Lucky candid. |
Such an amazing shot. A poignant expression that left me curious about what he was thinking.
I'm curious to know if you generally, and specifically in this case, use a remote control for your camera, so the act of taking the image is less obvious to those around you? |
