And He Created Colorby autoolComment: This is really nice, but I think the thick black border is a bit overbearing. Perhaps a bit more white space around the ink swirls would help to increase their impact as well. Good idea though, I love all the colour and turbulance. |

Winter Streamby alanfreedComment: Really nice composition, and the colours here are pleasant. Seems like the snow is a bit overexposed, and the image quality is low (both signs of a low end camera, probably, so I don't mind). Nice work, overall. |

Deception Fallsby dltruexComment: I really LOVE the action in this photo. That's some powerful water.
However, there are a few issues. It seems like you didn't use a tripod for this long exposure shot. Also, it's a bit underexposed. You could fix it pretty well with post processing though, just play with the levels a bit. That's all though, the composition is really nice and the water makes this photo exciting. |

Takin' it Easyby rll07Comment: Very pretty. It looks like a rugged, northern European type of pony. I love that shaggy hair. The black and white could be a touch more contrasty, otherwise, the framing, focus and exposure are all very good. |

Rocky Creek by joannsComment: Absolutely beautiful! I especially love the mist in the distance... so atmospheric. It's just perfect. I can't fault it, and I love looking at it. I have to give it 10. |

Natural Stream in the Natural Stateby kandyjComment: I like the blur of the water and the soft, pastel green of the lichen. The composition around the rocks is very nice. I think, though, that I would have tried some photos from a lower camera angle to get a more interesting perspective on the rocks. There is little depth in this photo, so it looks a bit flat. |

Preserving the Greenby gminishComment: Cool! I don't know where you're from, so you might not understand this, but this photo brings back really vivid memories of old "Dr. Who" episodes :).
I love all the weird shapes and textures in here. But I think maybe it would have been more effective if you cropped it a bit more tightly. It's just a bit busy, and parts are overexposed, for no good reason that I can see. Nice idea though. |

Strandedby kevinswopeComment: I can see what I'm supposed to see, but only with a bit of work. That's nice in that it makes the most of the contemplative, serene nature of the surroundings, but I think the marriage of title and image doesn't quite work. More visual emphasis on the little plant would have made the title more direct. Placing it in an area where third lines intersect may have worked to draw more attention to it, or perhaps desaturating the photo slightly and boosting the red channel? Good work though.
There, I just tried my own suggestions: //lisa3d.org/images/photos/dpc/stranded2.jpg |

Cotton Candy Skiesby CreativeFlyPhotoComment: Nice silhouettes and interesting composition. The colours of the sky are vivid, but something about the way you've framed this makes it feel a bit flat, to me. I don't thinke the negative space quite works the way it should. It makes the trees feel like an afterthought, rather than being an intentional element.
I'd love to see some experiments with different crops! |
