For all those comments for improvment, thank you.

This image was taken on a overcast and rainy day (surprise, surprise around Seattle), without a tripod (mistake), with a flash (BIG MISTAKE). The flash caused a few of the raindrops to reflect as phantom light streaks in part of the photo.

I will definitely go back to Deception Falls on a brighter, less rainy day to get a much better picture. :-)

Thanks again.

I really LOVE the action in this photo. That's some powerful water.

However, there are a few issues. It seems like you didn't use a tripod for this long exposure shot. Also, it's a bit underexposed. You could fix it pretty well with post processing though, just play with the levels a bit. That's all though, the composition is really nice and the water makes this photo exciting.

I think this would look better if it were brightened up just a little. Ilike the composition with the falls crossing the frame diagonally.

Nice motion in the water, but generally underexposed.

This is a cool picture. I think it's a little underexposed and a little too soft on the focus end of it - Inspzil

While I know that the water is suposed to have this effect, the focus on the surroundings appear to be in soft focus as well. The very white spot just above half way up in the photo is a bit distracting. I'm not sure what it is, but it kind of makes me want to concentrate on that one spot. THe angle and framing/cropping seems good to me. Good luck in the challenge.

I like this technique a lot, but it looks like you may have bumped the camera a little during the exposure... or something. The rocks on the left seem a bit too blurred, to my eye. Overall the image seems a little on the dark side.

Wow, if this is Deception Falls on Hwy 2 -- I've been there! I took my first waterfall shot up there. I don't know why the water looks brown? I'm anxious to find out what technique you used, shutter speed, filters, etc. I really love this shot, just wish it wasn't so dark.

Need a lot more focus to really bet the fullness of this. And need to be lighter. I'd give it a 5 because of the interest. PTL

Beautiful shot, but in this case, the rushing water seems less than focussed. Plus there are a couple of "anomolies" that I am having trouble with. Ex: Middle right side of the falls, there appears to be a white streak? Still, I like this enough to give it an 8. Swash

wow how cool ! This almost looks like milk !

seems a little too dark, maybe a little contrast enhancement or adjust the levels a little, still an excelent shot

challenge met. i think? is it deception because there's something we dont' see or is that simply the name of the falls? i like the flow of the water through the photo, the long exposure works well. i would like to see this picture lightened just a little (i just did an "autobalance" in a cheap editor, and it increased the contrast w/out blowing out the white, it popped a bit more). i would also like the rocks to be very crisp and focused, to contrast with the flowing water. did you use a tripod? or would you be able to rest the camera on something? does your camera have a self-timer? setting that avoids camera shake from releasing the shutter (even on a tripod). i'm just speculating here. please ignore if none of that makes sense for your situation ...

? what is the flash on the upper right side? Was this a framed photo? I'm lost on this. It's beautiful that I know.

I have tryed several times to display this picture wothout success. I will try again later in the week.

Good composition, for me it needed the rocks to be in focus.

a little too blurry, and also too dark.

Cool picutre, the water looks a little like cream!

Good subject and cropping, but poor focus, and exposure.
