| 05/13/2002 02:24:00 AM | Help Meby mattpgaComment: Well, it's a cool photo, but has an element of cruelty to it. I find full sunlight very harsh to look at, too... the shadows are too sharp and black. |
| 05/15/2002 04:14:00 AM | Reflectionsby RemieComment: I'm so glad you didn't turn this one upside down :). I love how the clouds vaguely echo the curve of the river. Nice photo. |
| 05/13/2002 11:22:00 AM | Kaboomby MaYzComment: This photo is creepy, making me imagine all kinds of threatening contexts. The worn fingers add to that. A more dramatic background could have made it even more ominous, but this just seems sunny and pleasant... maybe in a way that increases the tension because you imagine someone about to blow up some kids in a park or something... In other words, it has a lot of impact. |
| 05/13/2002 02:11:00 AM | Untitledby mciComment: This is a wrenchingly beautiful photograph. The only thing that gets me about it is the coyness of covering the nipples... it makes it seem self-conscious. The nipples themselves would add a great element to the outline of the breasts too... although I know that if they weren't given some support, her breasts would fall towards her armpits (I know, I have a pair myself as I commented on the hooters girl photo in the last challenge :). Still, 10 from me. |
| 05/13/2002 08:00:00 AM | Twinsby JJartComment: I like this photo because it looks real and spontaneous, rather than posed meticulously. I like that my eye is drawn to the girls' ears, which for one thing are a really nice shade of pink, but also have a great rotational symmetry of their own. Hey, I'm a physics graduate, rotational symmetry does things to me I can't describe :) |
| 05/13/2002 02:14:00 AM | Tea Time at Martha Stewart'sby hokieComment: Hehe, the implications of this photo are interesting, if I'm not reading too much into it. Is she really a witch? That makes so much sense. It's beautifully lit and photographed, but kinda busy for me. |
| 05/13/2002 07:57:00 AM | Reflectionsby karmakillerComment: This is a very pretty setting, and I like the vertical cropping. I think though that turning this one upside down was overkill, when the reflection itself would have been fine (I think), and this just makes it confusing (to me, anyway). Some photos of reflections in this challenge have been really enhanced by turning them upside down, perhaps because they were planned that way, but this one doesn't seem to work to me. |
| 05/13/2002 02:18:00 AM | in the waterby wolfjackComment: The colours here are so murky, it doesn't really make the reflection pleasing to look at for me. The building itself is a good subject, just a shame the light wasn't a bit sharper on the day, or something. |
| 05/14/2002 10:22:00 PM | Child Poseby ssComment: This is not only one of my favourite photos, but I think it has strong enough appeal on many levels to place in the challenge. Excellent work :) If I'm wrong, then this site is crazy. |
