Mom can I go in there?by wargloryComment: These playgrounds are so different now than they were when I was a kid. We used to actually be able to hurt ourselves in ways that required a tetanus shot afterwards! It's all because of lawsuits and insurance costs, I guess. Anyway, this is kind of a sad indictment of "childhood" to me, I'd rather see kids climb trees than play in there! |

Dad! Where are you?by taylorbehneComment: Wow, this is very evocative! It brings back a lot of memories of being scared to try things without my parents being there to save me. Life is tough when you're small! |

Childhood Obsessionby sulamkComment: I understand this photo because I was horse mad too, but the composition is a bit clumsy to me. The horses' heads merge in a way that might be touching in a closeup, but since the neck fades out on the painting it's just a bit confusing. |

Footsby seby20Comment: This is an absolutely beautiful photo, but I'm not sure if it meets the "no children" part of the challenge. I still love it. The texturing of that sand on the toes is very well done! Sepia works very well here. I'm going to give it 10 anyway!! - lisae |

Fun, colourful and vibrant childhoodby JeanComment: I love this one! The colours and shapes evoke childhood without being really blatant. I loved cutting and folding paper as a kid, so it really appeals to me. The composition is beautiful. |

Anybody Got A Step?by DazzermasComment: That's so pretty! I love the lighting in this shot. I don't care about the overexposure in the window, it works for me. It gives you a real sense of the perspective of a child. |

chasing its tailby owennnnComment: Very interesting... kind of dark and moody and surreal. It doesn't altogether work for me, but I appreciate that you were trying something very cool in this photo. |

happy trailsby mnewmanComment: There seems to be a subtle relationship between these two. I like that a lot. I also really like the textures of the paper and charcoal, and the dark shadow. Very atmospheric. |
