I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1124 images, I gave 31 of them a 9. Your image was one of those 31.

There are a couple of high vantage point cityscapes in this challenge, but this is one of the best. Nice perspective, and the monochrome treatment works well. I would also like to see a nighttime long exposure from this viewpoint!

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

Lovely clarity and colours. I've never been to Portugal, hopefully one day I will visit.

I just wish the horizon was level on this one (unless it's an optical illusion the horizon appears to slope down left to right), and that the bottom left corner was cropped/cloned out. I'd have probably given it a 10 then.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

What a cute little froggie, and "little" is an understatement! One of the stand out macro shots in this challenge, perfect focus and lighting. I love the reflection of the frog on the coin's shiny surface. Is he one of those poison arrow tre frogs?

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

There are lots of bug macros in this challenge, but this one really stands out to me... I've never really looked so closely at a damselfly, and I must say I always thought that their eyes would be like the compound eyes of a fly... they look more like frog eyes! Wonderful capture. Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

Magnificence is right. The perspective, colours and definition (I presume HDR) are really strong in this image. There is the slightest hint of fuzziness that may see this being scored down by other voters, but I love this photo. Very different to the vast bulk of images submitted in this challenge. Good luck for a strong finish!

There are a lot of starry sky photos in this challenge, but this is one of the standout images for me. The warm glow from the fire is so inviting, and the whole scene is serene and as you say uplifting. A perhaps stark and maybe even "boring" location in the twilight, you have converted it into somewhere special!

This is an amended comment... it was originally "Adore the colours :-)". That said, I do adore the colours :-) Good luck for a strong finish in the challenge!

There are lots of sea/beach/sunset pics in this challenge, but this one stands out for me because it is must more understated. The sunset is not given undue prominence in the frame, indeed the sun is actually outside the frame, and yet it give the scene a beautiful warm glow. Definitely a "wish you were here" scene, wonderfully captured.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

There are quite a few "bridge at night" shots, many incorporating sunsets. Yours is a much cooler approach, the water is beautifully lit, as is the sky. I can't even begin to imagine how hard this photo was to take and "get right" as you have clearly done. This would look great on my wall!

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

Yosemite is one of those places that is photographed so much, yet so badly by lots of people, thinking that the magnificence of the location can be captured by a point and click. Your photo on the other hand shows a much more thought out capture, nice low viewpoint, large depth of field, nice composition. Makes me wish I was there seeing Yosemite for myself.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.
