Simple, elegant, effectively lighted and a few minor issues that aren't worth mentioning. Initially rated a 7, this reviewer didn't fully appreciate the detail, color and effectiveness of the image. While a marginal issue, perhaps a little lighter touch with the background would have improved it's initial impact tremendously. As it is, it should be a top ten image and a possible ribbon winner. Up rated to a nine.

This reviewer originally had a negative reaction to this image as it appeared to over reach in terms of humor. Upon review when commenting, the author's intent became much clearer. It's a technical success and while the subject matter isn't "artistic" in the normal sense, it does have a sense of humor and thus the rating have been upped to a 9 from a 7. Not a ribbon contender, it is worthy of a high placement because of it's bold presentation.

A clever idea, but the lack of clear, sharp focus on the challenge subject makes it less than successful both in an artistic and technical sense. The crittr's face and expression take the viewer's eye away from the subject matter which is the tack. A little more thought and better framing would have brought the rating higher.
